Watch your hours/float expectations - Registered Nurse Cayuga Medical Center Employee Review

If you are considering a job here, please understand that management truly does not care about nursing job satisfaction. In the last 6-10 months, the hospital is leveraging hours and floats to conserve money. We were recently told that our full time hours were not guaranteed and that we would have to cross train to other floors if we wanted hours when our census is low. They will cut you/float you any time throughout the day. Means that you use all your PTO if you need to get pain for that time. It's very chaotic and very bad for staff and patients.
