Pros
Worked there part-time to make some extra money while attending school. Tutoring students really helped with my studies and ensured I was always on top of my math game. Relaxed environment made it easy to work on homework and personal studies when I wasn't tutoring students. Overall a very rewarding job, especially when the student gets it because of you. You will also take on the role of teachers assistant in the classroom for developmental courses, and while this can be boring or tedious at times, the change of pace can also be refreshing.
Cons
Budget cuts led to downsizing. There are no longer two tutors on duty at any given time so it can be difficult to take a bathroom break or get some fresh air as there will be no one to cover for you. Also makes it boring on days when the lab is empty. Furthermore, new responsibilities will often get tacked on with no additional pay or benefits to the employee.
