Cons
Product over people Leadership sets deadlines Psychological safety only in small pockets Very little incentive/rewards Surprising little opportunity to move around. Most positions are opened with someone in mind or leadership reorgs to fill. Only know how to put out fires, not prevent them. Very chaotic and fast paced. Very little trust and a lot of micro management Seem to struggle with planning. Nearly ever project in my large area over the last 7 years has only been successful through the heroics and generosity of the amazing employees to donate their personal time to meet commitments that their leadership made without consulting the . Repeatedly told the most important thing in our org is to hit our dates. Very little diversity of thought. Senior leaders hire people who have their worldview of leadership. People who voice different views of leadership or give feedback about the impact of the current style are marginalized and in some cases have been shuffled out There are frequent cycles of low employee engagement and lots of talented people leaving. Do not seem to understand how expensive and inefficient their current leadership style is.
