Expanding my level of understand diverse people.
Having the ability to make someone else's life "normal ".
Being able to work multiple shifts to see and learn more about the individual.
Able to help people .
Meeting people who don't understand my job but allowing them to see interactions between an individual and myself that may change the perspective of another person to a more positive one.
Cons
Having to work all weekends and holidays. I don't mind sometimes but I love church and would like to get back to being able to go.
Not a lot of room for advancement.
Needing someone to relieve you of your shift or vice versa so you can leave can be hectic.
Mandatory overnight if they call out.
Too much gossip.
