Pros

Great place to work. They do hire externs and new grads and offer a sign on bonus, competitive wages, many benifit packages, 401 K, pay incentives, continued learning certifications, and the opportunity to move up the ladder or move to different Lifepoint hospitals. They pay Bi-weekly and offer shift differentials.

Cons

Staffing can be short at times, work hours can increase or decrease & you can be put on call for your scheaduled shifts and not get to to work all, or sometimes any of your scheaduled shifts depending on the hospital census (how many patients they have at the time). I've geard many newer employees complain about this issue &/or leave the company. This can make it difficult when you depend on every paycheck to pay bills with, especially new staff just out of years of schooling. They go based on seniority, so long time staffers can be working 4 days a week while new comers are lucky to work 1-2 days a week for several different weeks when the census in low. When it's good it's great, when it's slow, it can be devastating on your finances if you are a newer employee.

Pros

Great coworkers who always help each other. It’s more of a family with the support we get and give.

Cons

Short staffing, but there’s a severe shortage of people choosing the lab as a profession. So we do the best we can
