Pros
- Centerville and its staff genuinely care about you - They go above and beyond providing opportunities to further your career goals - Good amount of hours for an internship with somewhat flexible scheduling - Great work culture with very friendly people - Good pay for an internship in Ohio ($15 an hour) - Easy way to input hours worked and check paystubs online - Flexible break/lunch schedule. Can combine breaks/lunch or keep them separate - Great environment to learn office culture and learn about your specific internship's field - Everything needed to perform your job is provided to you. You don't need to buy your own office supplies, electronics, or software - Mandatory OPERS contributions. Depending on your career goals this could be a good or bad thing. - You are not contacted outside of work hours and are not expected to do job-related duties outside of work hours. VERY good work/life separation - HR provides opportunities to review resumes/portfolios to provide feedback
Cons
- Offices open at 8 AM so it might not be a great idea to work here if you aren't a morning person, however, you don't necessarily have to work full days (somewhat flexible scheduling depending on specific internship area) - Drug test required at external third-party facility with only a 2-day notice prior to employment - No special employee benefits as an intern
