Pros
At the moment, DEV team in Centili has quality developers at all levels – juniors, mediors, and seniors. The company invested a lot in the growth of the senior team, this is a noteworthy difference from previous years. I joined as a Senior Software Engineer and the trend continues. There is a lot to learn from colleagues and generally knowledge sharing and positive attitude between colleagues is on a high level. Some of the colleagues have more than 15 years of experience and are eager to share knowledge. On the other hand, junior DEVs are very talented and eager to learn. They are massively contributing to our efforts and their career path is carefully looked upon. Additionally, the company has been constantly improving the technologies we are using. While we used many open-source solutions before (and still use – now we have enterprise software, covering all previously identified „critical points“. From Bquery and Kafka, to the migration of the whole platform to GCP – people can work on cutting-edge technology and most importantly, participate in the development of the new products from the scratch. Platform handles high volume traffic daily.
Cons
There are no serious cons I could pinpoint after more than one year with Centili. The platform is in-house developed and it needs some improvements – but we are actively working on them.
