Pros

The majority of the colleagues there were friendly, helpful and collaborative.

Cons

This company runs like a dictatorship. One man at the top (CEO) making all the calls while C-level executives and other managers are stripped of any decision-making opportunities in their respective fields. When a company is rotten at its core, everyone suffers. Erratic decisions and projects are thrown at teams on weekly basis, with little evidence to support “the why”, creating a constant shift in priorities, wasted efforts, with little regard to an employees’ resources and time. In one year at least 10 people were fired with no regard, and another 15 ran for the hills due to the tornado that is the CEO.

Pros

Good product portfolio, benefits are great if you’re single, salary is decent (until you find out they basically don’t do raises and don’t have a performance review system in place)

Cons

For starters I don’t write reviews on anything so the fact I’m taking time to write this should really say something off the bat. Constant yelling, being talked down to as if you’re a dog, just overall unprofessionalism by a lot of people (mainly in upper management). Many people just pull rank on you if they disagree with something you say and usually aren’t willing to even compromise as it’s usually their way or the highway. Whenever any sort of compromise does happen (very rare) people drag there feet as much as possible to get the task done. Microsoft excel is the CRM system with no willingness to change that anytime soon which makes it near impossible to keep things in order. Almost everything is done manually with next to no automation in place to make things easier. Just an overall very toxic work environment that in turn creates a very high turnover with the company.

Dear former employee, I am sorry to hear that you did not have the best experience at Centogene. Some of your points of concern we are already adressing, with the start of company wide appraisal interviews this year and higher digitization. We know that not everything is perfect and take all feedback seriously. If you would like to give a more detailed feedback let me know. I would be happy to talk. Thank you and best regards, Anja Seidel
