Pros
Fun teams to work with, large scale events, great production value. Good benefits + compensation. Great church to be a part of.
Cons
- Non-stop pace can lead to burn out - No Sabbatical policy for pastoral staff - Hearsay 'policies' that some people live by, yet others don't - Always wanting events, projects, programming to be 'bigger and better', which can lead to burn out. - Poor celebration of staff achievements - Not many opportunities to grow and develop in your career - Job descriptions are sometimes inaccurate of what you will do - Not too much autonomy to change methods of ministry; managing and maintaining existing structures and programming seem to be the norm. - HR processes are painstakingly slow; HR doesn't seem to have great communication timelines. - Part of their culture says that they will choose to honour each other by having good communication timelines yet many departments don't live up to that
