Pros

Awesome People Fun Atmosphere Core Values

Cons

Leadership & Communication: Communication from the top to bottom was terrible and often vague. Loyalty: I would advise investing in the people that deliver results and strive to make a difference. During my time, quality people left because of how they were treated as well as compensated. Benefits: The provided plan for W2 employees is horrific. Most employees wave the coverage in favor of a private plan. Core Values: Centric has phenomenal core values. Unfortunately, you may be at the mercy of the clients expectations and culture depending on your team. Integrity and Openness: Provide constructive feedback. Employees want to know how they are performing and what they can improve upon. I did not have a single review the entire time I was an employee. W2-Temp: A majority of employees are temporary making them completely expendable. Career opportunities: With a flat organization and a lack of clients, advancing within the company can be complicated.

Apologies. It has been over a year since you posted. Your post was actually read by many folks on the company leadership team around the time of posting. We had received the feedback in your Advice to Management from other channels as well. Unfortunately, we lost track of responding to your post. Wanted to make sure you knew that your post was and still is sincerely appreciated! I personally have spent a lot of time over the past year in Seattle, working with our team. I could not agree more that it is important to be transparent, especially as it relates to actual results and future plans. Always room for improvement, but believe we have done a much better job of providing accurate assessments of our status, as well as our future plans. Related to some of your other suggestions: • We have converted many hourly employees to full time. Will continue to do this as we diversify our client base and / or transition more consulting services to a managed service model. • I will double-check, but believe our Seattle team has been pretty good about providing feedback to all members of our team in Seattle over the past year. Agree that this is important to do. • If interested, please reach out to me directly regarding the benefits, so I can better understand why you were disappointed. Our Seattle office is early in its development… essentially a ‘start-up’. As with all start-ups, there are peaks and valleys, and I assure you that I, and all the folks associated with out Seattle office, have been through many peaks and valleys over the past year. While I know, we’ll have more ups and downs, I could not be happier with where we are right now. Dave

Pros

Mostly self-managed schedule. Very flexible in terms of scheduling and work/life balance.

Cons

The company would benefit from meaningful investment in leadership diversity, not just in stated values, but in who actually holds decision-making power. The current senior leadership is not reflective of the broader workforce or the clients served. Additionally, there’s little to no formal or informal mechanism for employees to influence company direction. Decisions are made at the top and communicated down. Positions of authority are held by people with personal relationships to the founders or other senior leaders, not those with backgrounds or experience with technology or specific types of projects.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear the flexibility of our model has been a positive part of your experience. Your comments on leadership and decision-making are important, and they reflect areas where we continue to focus our efforts. We've had long established programs to help to have a feedback mechanism from all employees. Through programs like Centric Together, our Advisory Team, Voice of the Employee (VOTE), and our employee resource groups, we are creating more opportunities for employees to share perspectives, strengthen inclusion, and help shape the future of our organization. We will work to make sure employees have strong awareness that these teams exist and how to participate in them. While we’ve made progress, we know there is always room to improve. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and help us continue moving forward.
