Pros
Some nice colleagues, good transport location.
Cons
I gave Centrica Operations one star only because there was no option to give none. I want to be clear that this does not reflect everyone in the organisation—there are a few good people—but unfortunately they are overshadowed by significant leadership issues within the team. The core problem is poor leadership. Large egos dominate, and while strong personalities can be productive if managed well, here they are paired with a lack of understanding, limited self-awareness, and immature behaviour. This results in a toxic culture driven by blame, finger-pointing, and defensiveness. Employee voices are not valued. Ideas and opinions are often dismissed before being fully expressed. You are expected to follow instructions unquestioningly, even when tasks are inefficient, unnecessary, or lack clear purpose. Creativity and critical thinking are actively discouraged. If you are proactive, enjoy problem-solving, and want to add genuine value, this environment will be deeply frustrating. This team may suit someone who prefers to follow orders without question and avoid challenge or accountability—but it is not a healthy or empowering workplace. I would strongly caution others to consider these issues carefully before joining. Weak leadership with clear knowledge and capability gaps, favouritism and inconsistent treatment of staff, minimal support, training provided reluctantly, micromanagement and ego-driven behaviour, reactive leadership, lack of strategic direction, authoritarian culture discouraging open communication, low morale, staff disengaged and risk-averse.
