Pros
I work at Reflection Bay Golf Club in Lake Las Vegas, which resides on the outskirts of Henderson, NV. It is an absolutely beautiful location that resides directly on the lake, making it the perfect venue for our Top 100 golf course. It is a very high end area, which means there's the chance to make good tips because of our high end customers, which consistently includes musicians, athletes, and other celebrity visits. Tend to work with good people overall, and it is a laid back atmosphere that is very flexible with your schedule if you are balancing school or other part time jobs. Free round of golf per week.
Cons
There is literally no room to move up in your position at the course; they don't even offer yearly or promotional raises of any sort. Because of the clashing ideals for the course between the owners and Century, who manages the daily activities of the course, one is often told differing demands which is extremely frustrating. Moreover, the corporate level of Century is poorly ran and offer no decent benefits to its workers while paying minimum wage to its employees. We tend to work in extreme conditions at times since the job is entirely outside, which includes blazing summers at 117 degrees and cold, dry winters at 30 degrees or less. They just took out the range permanently, so the one perk of hitting balls on the range for free is now gone.
