Pros

I don't even know anymore

Cons

Our company has simply lost our focus. Cerium used to be about caring for customers, now ownership and management spends time time threatening employees thinking about leaving. After a few key members of staff resigned recently for better opportunities for their family - Rather than thanking them for their service. Ownership and Management sent out an email company wide threatening to sue and enforce anti-competes for even non-sales employees whom may be or are considering leaving.before they have even done anything. I wish I could attach it. I am now scared and afraid to leave for my family and I can no longer focus on customers either, I am an engineer and I signed their anti-compete but I have a right to work - I feel trapped and my only recourse is to stay or get legal protection to leave - I feel sickened for my family, I don't know what this place has become and my work is suffering as it's all I think about, hard working people that we cared about and were part of our family left and now we are trying to sue and threaten them - Willing to listen to any legal advice please post your contact information upon post. I need help.

Pros

Cerium is a great spot for those that are looking to continually push and challenge themselves to grow and develop. In my personal experience, I was consistently provided with new challenges and opportunities for growth over my 4 years within the organization. When I was first hired I started out in an entry level HR role, and within 2.5 years I was given the opportunity to manage a team of employees. In addition to growth and development, Cerium offers the chance to work with a great group of people. In my 4 years working for the organization, I had the opportunity to collaborate with an incredible group of skilled, intelligent, and overall wonderful employees. The ability to learn from other employees with decades of work experience is a major pro to working at Cerium.

Cons

Employees are expected to contribute to the overall success of the organization. Individuals that are not looking to work hard, collaborate with others, and develop/grow are not a good fit within this organization. The work can be challenging, but also very rewarding. There is also some tribal knowledge within the company, so continuing to work towards breaking down silos and creating more formal processes in documenting internal processes and procedures is an emphasis across departments.

Pros

1. Heavy emphasis on coordinating teams across multiple departments and levels of the company. 2. High visibility of management throughout the organization and ease of access to them and decision making. 3. Strong emphasis in ongoing training and career development. 4. Good use of communication technology within the company, though not as much on the accounting/finance side.

Cons

Some work was still needed on breaking down some of the "silos" in the company and it was certainly easier to do cross-functional work (e.g. accounting to engineering) if you had at least a few years in the company to establish those relationships and learn more of your counterparts job functions.
