Pros

Benefits - great ESOP, good 401K, good health insurance and nice, progressive facilities. They have hired some great young men and women from Midwest universities over the last few years who have added much needed energy.

Cons

Values are on a plaque on everyone's desk but don't exist in any of the hearts of subsidiary or corporate leadership. They keep the losers as leaders and let the winners leave. New CEO and company leaders would not know strategy, good or bad, if they tripped over it. The values that had existed for decades are ignored and not followed in practice although they are talked about - a total disconnect.

Pros

Most exempt employees received decent vehicle and fuel stipend. Office culture is OK. Plenty of swag.

Cons

Opportunities for growth are currently stalled. There is a middle management log jam that won’t resolve anytime soon due to the junior 10 year of that middle-management core. Additionally, resource challenged jobs will be scored against you without any regard of your involvement with the bid process. Point blank, if your projects are not doing well financially due to poor estimation practices, accountability starts with you. Management is quick to have amnesia regarding issues conversations, and when it comes down to it, they will CTA before they ever stand tall for you.
