Pros
it's a good company with a handful of incompetent people that create some insanely frustrating days. like right now i have a 10:00 appointment to get unloaded and an 18:00 to get loaded. between those appointments i'm supposed to do a live unload, drive 100 miles, take a 10 break and sleep. that's 8 hours which doesn't even cover the 10. i asked night dispatch to get me rescheduled and the response was pretty much figure it out. like why are you even here? my dm is amazing. she was pulled to a different department so someone was covering for her. this first day on the job scheduling is common when she's not here to hold it down. they hired new night and weekend dispatch who are also amazing. every encounter i've had with the new girls was great. so the company is working on fixing these problems but they still exist they don't have a lot of customers. a handful of chicken plants primarily in the south. the routes are very short, 600 miles, so not ideal for otr if you're trying to stack some miles. to supplement they use a broker. they occasionally have 1000 miles routes but not enough. the owner and his family are really good. if there was a national award for best company owner, he'd probably win it. this company has a lot of potential and that's why i'm still here. i hate the south, i only drive nights and usually anything under 1000 miles is a waste of my time. so i'm not a good fit here, point being that the company itself is good enough for me to stay. if they could get a broader customer base and train the dispatch personnel that need it, it could be the perfect trucking company
Cons
short routes low miles 95% southern us handful of customers handful of incompetent dispatch no pay for 34's
