Welcome to the land of Free Mason misfits. Peterbilt is a top-heavy insane asylum of self-labeled elitists, run by an uneducated and outdated “ol boys club”. NOTHING makes sense… the 1960’s mentality management protect and worship failure and misery, play games with employees, promote based on poor work ethic, and the turn-over rate is worse than a fast food joint directly because of it. Sending wave after wave of workers running for the exit doors, managers managing managers, who are managed by area managers, who have other managers managing them, who all can’t manage a game of monopoly let alone a business, or have any sort of people/life skills what so ever. Management are so corrupt, it puts the TV show Madmen to shame. Would highly recommend that women don’t work here for their own safety. (I’d get into details but I don’t want to violate every term and condition on this website, exposing the truths both past and current) Not only is it unsafe for women, but everyone in general. I’m shocked that someone hasn’t died on the job yet… especially in their warehouse that’s cleverly renamed “XDS” to hide under the radar from the brand Peterbilt. (a few close calls and injuries that management fought tooth and nail not to pay out rightful disability) The Free Mason management hires their Free Mason buddies, year in – year out, and pays them almost double what everyone else who’s been working there 5-10 years longer makes. Said Free Mason friend does no work, as the unaffiliated employee picks up all the slack, as the friendship brigade hangs out in offices together. There is zero leadership, zero common sense, zero training, and lower than low morale. The Free Mason boys club are all out for themselves (even though they still stab each other in the back). They treat themselves and their buddies to a few dozen “training trips” per year on top of their unlimited vacation days off. That is of course, if they bother showing up day to day. The training trips are nothing short of booze fueled, tax write-offs as business expenses to Vegas, Texas, Seattle, St. Louis, Toronto, Orlando, Mexico etc. as the few unaffiliated employees run the dealerships without help or guidance. Which is the standard on-going joke even with Peterbilt’s quickly declining customer base. Last year they even laid off their employee of the year just to save their precious Free Mason friends job, and the next mass wave of lay-offs are on the horizon. The hemorrhage of money the childish managers are getting away with is destroying the company like cancer from the inside out. A meeting to set up a future meeting, to meet and accomplish nothing until the next meeting to repeat the same mistakes makes you wonder if it’s them who are insane, or you for staying with the company. Peterbilt of Ontario is on a serious downward spiral, and nothing has changed with Cervus Equipment buying out the company. Just look at the Cervus stocks and see the land-slide for yourself… If it wasn’t for the well-known brand name, this company wouldn’t have lasted the last big recession.
