Pros

Random brilliant people in small pockets. If you can sell ketchup popsicles to people in white clothes, or can word spar in cooperate jargon to sound more important, you are will fit in here just fine. If you are a highly skilled and technical person you will be under valued, over worked, and under appreciated until you become numb or just leave.

Cons

Repeated meetings with leadership who will openly brag about "reducing head count" while simultaneously complaining that they can't fulfill customer requests for bodies and need to hire (really sums it all up). No raises, reduced benefits year after year, mass firings. Lots of feedback requests and leadership interest in the boots on the ground followed by 0 action (rinse and repeat). We for some inexplicable reason keep the well identified toxic managers in place then hire key positions who cant even spell the word Bitcoin let alone explain how it works at a cryptocurrency company. Those new managers are then reliant upon and manipulated by the toxic old guard into doing their bidding and preserve their place. The smart leaders who recognize the problems promptly leave after not being able to effect change. If you have a good idea at this company just keep it to yourself because it is likely to get you fired or it will put you in the crosshairs of the toxic old guard who are only in their current position(s) because they could breath air while the company was young and growing.

Chainalysis offers the rare combination of talented people, supportive leadership and meaningful work. The culture is collaborative and results oriented. There is a high level of trust and autonomy, teams can take ownership and make a real impact. There is a lot of opportunity in the market and the sales team is exceeding quotas. The team gets exposure to complex and interesting challenges because of our position in the market.

- remote work, flex hours - some directors are ok.

- terrible managers in engineering, especially one senior manager is a control freak. Pushes people out. - no engineering culture, if you end up in the wrong team life is a hell. - there is no next level if you are a senior engineer, you stuck in the same title. - salaries are below avg
