Pros
I recently joined the team and couldn't believe the reception I got! The onboarding was so well structured and made sure to include as many touch-points with my colleagues as possible without overloading me in the first few weeks. In general, I've discovered the talent of my team-mates, the information, tools and resources I have we have access to are far and beyond what I've experienced elsewhere. We're a fully remote team and that can come with challenges but there's been plenty of asynchronous and real-time opportunities to connect with colleagues across the globe which makes aligning and executing projects easier than expected and fun to do. In addition, because the team is so diverse and spread out you don't have the usual office politics to worry about, instead there is a genuine and obvious passion for the product and people really want it to succeed - the job isn't just a pay-packet. That's so refreshing!
Cons
I honestly don't have any to report so far! I knew what I was getting in to when I chose to work for a 100% remote company with colleagues spread across different time zones and have genuinely found that the flexibility I offer to accommodate that has been paid back to me with time to go to my children's sports days and plenty of days to relax and holiday with my family, no questions asked.
