Pros

The salary is competitive, training is great, there is exposure to many industries, and the audit team loves when you ask questions (in fact, the more questions, the better). There is ample CPE training. The clients are mostly all high net worth.....accounting for these clients is more complex and you will definitely learn a lot. Audit Seniors, supervisors, and managers are extremely knowledgable and are always prepared to teach or help when a problem arises. The office has a great view (42nd floor) .

Cons

Prepare to have no work life balance during busy season (you may encounter this at any public accounting firm), prepare to travel often and without any regard to preference and to stay at crappy hotels/motels with terrible food choices (sometimes only fast food is available). The firm is very top heavy, so generally one partner must leave or be let go of before another gets promoted from within. Many religious employees on the audit teams, so if you are not religious, all the weekend inventory counts fall on you (no exaggeration here). I don't regret working here because I truly learned a lot, but the travel conditions are definitely harsh and that is why I left.
