Is this your company?

Pros

Huge business, growing and making acquisitions at a lightning rate.

Cons

The acquisitions mean that all the better estate agents are being bought out. Morally corrupt directors that lie, do not show examples of due diligence but expect it from everyone below them. Steer well away from Charters if you want an employer that treats you with respect and works for you, rather than against you in every aspect. I have had the greatest misfortune to have ever been within stone throwing distance of their lettings directors, they single-handledly bring the professionalism and brand of Charters in the sewers with their devious tactics and consciously inept decisions.

Pros

The Salary is quite generous, but comes at the price of having to work like a dog.

Cons

very little job autonomy! this company only cares about there employees hitting targets, which creates a pretty miserable work place. The best way to describe working here is like being at school and getting told off for talking. Micromanagement is on another level at this company, they will control every little task you do. there is no real freedom to go out of the lines or suggest any new ideas of doing anything. Staff Retention is also very poor! Within the time I was there my team had 8 employees that had started and left, and I was only working at the company for a year and a half.

Pros

They know how to spend money on branding. Coffee was somewhat adequate. Leaving felt like a weight off the shoulders.

Cons

Sub-par wages. Very high staff turnaround. Relentless and often unnecessary micromanagement. Particular members of management and directorship not following due process (my direct experience of leadership from this company was particularly poor). Unfair treatment toward staff members. Repeated instances of poorly distributed workloads from management. Complete absence of job security.
