Pros
ChatterBoss was a great launching point for me when I was laid off from my EA role during Covid. I had enough experience that I qualified for the highest-level assistant role, which provided a decent hourly rate, but still a far cry from what I had been making in my corporate role.
I have met many wonderful people/clients in my role with chatterboss and have formed lifetime friendships with those I've served. It has been a great place to form relationships. The owner, Valerie, is very kind and engaged in the business operations. I do feel, however, since Valerie has taken a step back, things have gone downhill as new, younger, less experienced individuals have stepped into leadership roles.
Cons
ChatterBoss pays me only 59% of the hourly rate they charge my clients. I feel this percentage is very low and therefore I have to work over 50 billlable hours per week to make a decent income to support my family and kids who are in college. That's IF the company can even supply me with these kinds of hours, which most time they cannot.
Furthermore, Chatterboss promises each assistant a back-up admin assistant, but they are incredibly few and far between, stretched too thin, and most and not reliable or able to do the job with which they are tasked with excellence.
Luckily, I have been able to establish my own business as an online business manager making 4 times the amount ChatterBoss provides, and it's growing fast. Soon I'll be done with this company for good.
