Pros

This is a very agile third-party insurance company. It's a great place to grow and learn about the insurance industry. You can take up to 2 AHIP or LOMA classes a quarter, company paid. You can also sign up for Training seminars on topic of time management and bio dots, Alzheimer's, and bias and dominance in the workplace. Great health and vision benefits!

Cons

Being a third-party insurance servicers they have to keep their overhead low. They have only recently apologized and made available internal job postings to their hard-working employers. Under the (relatively) new President Mr Fischer this organization has become more transparent, holding town hall meetings, and creating a great place to work.

Pros

Good health insurance. Occasional company provided lunch's (2-4 times a year). Their business is growing instead of shrinking. The maintenance and IT group do their jobs well. 'Rent-a-cop watches the parking lot from around 4-8pm to provide added security and protection. HR staff is friendly. Chairs are decently comfortable. Cubicles are new(ish) and clean.

Cons

Very little if any room to move up, horrible yearly raises (you are lucky if you get 2%). No incentive to do anything more than what is necessary to keep your job. Salaried employees can be taken advantage of easily with additions to work load (I know I have been). Raises don't happen as soon as you are promoted. (ie - if you are promoted into a another position, you don't get an immediate raise in pay - you may have to wait for the yearly review before it goes into effect, i'm still not sure). The yearly raises are 0-3%, with 3% being for exceptional examples of amazingness. So, work your butt off all year, take on loads of extra responsibility (by choice or by force) and if you are lucky, you'll get a 3% raise.
