Pros

Only pro is that it's an old company with the same technology, used by majority of companies. Its entirely channels driven, hence if you move out you can easily find a job even with partners

Cons

No work life balance. It's an OEM company but run by service based people.. specially old service based industry folks who know nothing of OEM standards. They have moulded the ecosystem by hiring people with the same mindset that an outsider will remain an outsider. You ll be expected to take calls post office hours and infact expected to have a look on emails always. Checkpoint is a good company but India team culture has detoriated from the core. High employee turnover. No office transport. Same old Dell laptop with limited storage provided. The worst of all is the leadership and working style. There is always a scuffle between sales and tac..where sales overcommits and blame then comes to TAC. Both leaderships are incompetent and stick to their own orthodox ways of working, which used to work probably 10-15 years back. A cramped up office space which makes it difficult to focus on troubleshooting as always people will be on calls. Heavy workload and customer portfolio is huge and there are less number of engineers to support them due to high attrition rate. Literally you cant take a leave without approval. Leaves are pretty less..no sick leaves,, just annual leaves. IJP clause is of 18months(longes inhave seen in any company yet!)

Pros

The core responsibilities offer solid experience, and many team members are dedicated, talented, and great to work with.

Cons

Lack of HR Support: The company lacks a safe, objective framework for employee feedback. When legitimate management issues were raised to HR, no corrective action was taken. Instead, it resulted in direct retaliation from leadership, which was left unaddressed by the organization. Significant Under-Market Pay: Compensation is well below industry standards for similar scopes of work. To give context, transitioning into a comparable role at a different company yielded a 37% increase in base pay. Flawed & Inaccurate Sales Compensation: The commission and incentive structures for the sales organization are unnecessarily convoluted. This complexity frequently leads to errors in commission payouts, causing widespread frustration among sellers. Notably, these calculation mistakes are consistently detrimental to the employee and rarely seem to resolve in the seller's favor. Siloed "HQ-Centric" Culture: There is a heavy disconnect between corporate headquarters and regional teams. The culture feels highly insular, creating an "in-group" dynamic where those outside of headquarters have very limited visibility, influence, or opportunities for career progression.
