Hi, Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your time at Checkout.com. We really appreciate your love for our story and product, which we take great pride in! And your positive comments on the office and our salary levels are also really encouraging. Thank you for also sharing those areas for improvement. On internal politics, we take your views seriously as they completely go against the meritocratic environment we’re trying to build at Checkout.com. If you’d be open to it we’d be keen to have an open conversation with you, so we can look into your case with more detail. We want to highlight a few of the initiatives we have in place to try and ensure all colleagues are valued for their efforts and we create a culture where everyone feels they get the recognition they deserve. Our quarterly Hero awards are a time to celebrate team members who go the extra mile and are true ambassadors of our values. Heroes are nominated by their colleagues and shortlisted by a panel based on objective criteria. We also have a feedback system, where employees can evaluate their managers to highlight any issues and allow us to act swiftly if problems arise. This feedback is anonymous to encourage everyone to express their opinions freely. Lastly we have anonymous whistleblowing processes in place, outside of our regular feedback system which give colleagues the chance to flag immediately any behaviour that’s not in line with our values.
