Pros

The pay is fair based on industry standards, nice people stuck working there. The brand is strong due to the founding management building a strong brand. The products they make are good and popular in markets.

Cons

Management has no clue about manufacturing rules and compliance, they are hiring manufacturing professionals to try to clean up the mess they have but the problem is that they don't trust or listen to the people they hire. The amount of gossip around the office is so unprofessional and a complete distraction from the work at hand. I had someone come to me my first week who knew exactly how much I was making because the person who processes payroll tells her team what someone's being paid. If you call out sick the owner will discuss your health issues with others. I'd been there 3 days and without me asking, started telling me about a previous employee who had an illness and a current employe who was out due to health issues, down to the tests they were conducting on them, a complete violation of HIIPA and a betrayal of the employee's trust. They will present you a position of 40 hours per week, but will be calling you even during off hours or weekends.

Pros

Compensation is great but not worth the headache. Met some really nice people. If you enjoy being on Facebook and on the web all day without doing any work this would be the perfect job! Chill HR who has no idea what is going on but, if you are looking for an organization that respects concerns or privacy - this is not the place for you.

Cons

Poor leadership is reflected by their management. If you have prior experience, this is a dead-end place to be at. Employees are always wrong unless CM says is right which is ironic considering they have no prior food manufacturing experience. There is no understanding of what it means to have salary employees. No boundaries for employee privacy, it was very uncomfortable knowing that top management was telling practically the whole company that x person didn't come in because of x illness. Your work ethics will not be rewarded, and will only make your job harder.
