Cons
This is door-to-door sales, point blank. I was fooled by the job listing. My main complaint is that alone. You're assigned a neighborhood or complex each day, and go door to door for sales. Many times I would tell my boss there was a "no soliciting" sign at the entrance of the neighborhood, and was told to ignore it. This led to angry residents and threats of calling the police. There's better ways to get the word out than putting employees through this.
The hours are rediculous. 11am-9pm, Monday-Saturday. So if you have a life, get ready to toss it. You only actually do sales from 2-8pm-ish, with rest of the time working on sales tactics and getting lunch. All that's fine, but over bloated, and way too long a day. Often by the time I got off work and home, there would be only 9 hours before I had to be back at the office.
Another complaint is that if you don't make enough sales/talk to enough people each day, you get chewed out after getting back to the office. There were many times I said I didn't talk to many people, they asked why, I said "people don't like door to door salesmen", they said "what can you do better? These numbers are unacceptable" when I said that I had to ignore a no soliciting sign and almost had the cops called, I was told that my numbers were unacceptable.
The coworkers were cool and wanted you to succeed, but other than that, it was pulling teeth just get each sale.
