Pros

probably one of the best hospital for Children care

Cons

Bad and Ugly for employees: Being a hospital you would expect this to be employee friendly but it is quite the opposite No sick leave (They dont care for employee or employee dependent health) No flexibility No materity leave (especially being a childrens hospital) No paternity leave (especially being a childrens hospital) Yearly Bonus only reserved for management positions (manager and above) No yearly salary raises High employee insurance out of pocket costs Lot of micromanagement on non-management positions Number of duplicate management positions (this is where the money is going) There is standard 401k mathching but it is not vested until 3 years of service There are spending billions on expansion (probably lot of wastage) Very disorganized HR policies and guidelines (no transparency) 9 hours work days mandatory Good for children needing care: probably one of the best hospital for Children care Bottomline: For employees it is one of the worst

Pros

-great managers -non-interpreting staff very familiar working with an interpreter -policies and expectations set for most situations -exceptionally developed department (which includes a senior director) relative to other hospitals, which often lack even a basic interpreting department

Cons

-work volume; often few breaks, definitely not enough to do anything other than work-related tasks (e.g., study for class, make a personal phone call) -inflexible schedule -work flow heavily dependent on coworker proactivity -leadership structure (managers over leads over interpreters) can result in micromanagment
