Pros

There are a lot of caring hard workers that will sacrifice anything to help their patients and make their experience rewarding.

Cons

Benefits are abysmal. Management doesn't follow through with any ideas for improvement. Senior leadership doesn't want anything to do with anyone. Only the nurses get any respect. No cooperation between departments. Everyone is backstabbing each other. Harassment goes around unpunished. People sleep at work constantly and management just laughs it off. I feel like this place is just going to collapse. Pest issues. The code system is inefficient. IT only available for a limited time.

Pros

-great managers -non-interpreting staff very familiar working with an interpreter -policies and expectations set for most situations -exceptionally developed department (which includes a senior director) relative to other hospitals, which often lack even a basic interpreting department

Cons

-work volume; often few breaks, definitely not enough to do anything other than work-related tasks (e.g., study for class, make a personal phone call) -inflexible schedule -work flow heavily dependent on coworker proactivity -leadership structure (managers over leads over interpreters) can result in micromanagment
