Pros
- Great place to learn the ins and outs of the industry and gain valuable experience - Decent employee benefits (non-salary related) - Diverse staff - Stays in the forefront of project management software and coordination trends.
Cons
- The constant project coordination method adjustments are retroactively applied to existing projects each year. It never feels like you can get ahead because you're constantly updating old methods or learning new systems. - The compensation to responsibility ratio is woefully inadequate. - Legitimate criticisms, even if coming from a good place, are interpreted as some bizarre form of betrayal. - It can be difficult to tell if senior management is more focused on the employees or the company's bottom line. - The firm consistently asks for its employees to do more work with a reduced budget and tighter schedule; ultimately sacrificing employee health in crusades to undercut the competition. - Senior staff carry a flawed/outdated "if I can do it, you can do it" attitude. - Repeated requests, often in the face of an overloaded project schedule, will be answered by shuffling people around from other teams. This saves money by reducing hires, but causes confusion and results in a lower quality deliverable.
