Pros

-Free meals if you work a +6hr shift -Easy to learn new skills -Rescheduling hours is relatively simple if you have any plans or exams (2 weeks ahead)

Cons

-During rush hour I was expected to bill 2 customers at a time and that got really confusing if the POS suddenly froze - Training was fast and you are expected to go solo within one day - Not the best job for introverts cause you are in constant conversation with guests and team members - cashier was expected to clean up the dining area and washrooms while also being aware of the POS. Was hectic when costumers would constantly be streaming in after rush hours

Pros

Learning and growing to cultivate your own career path into a competent General Manager. The hours are longer than regular but the position is labeled as salary hourly with a minimum of 50 hours per week which guarantees 10 hours if overtime per week.

Cons

The long hours can be tiring and the expectations are less than or equivalent to that of a General Manager and depending who your boss is dependent on what you learn and how you can grow.
