Pros

Your fellow employees will make you feel like you have a family if you get the right location. Free food used to be a pro, but I believe new hires do not get this anymore.

Cons

Expected to do a crazy amount of work with few people. Even if you have enough people hired, they want you to get through the day with as little people scheduled as possible. Cooperate simply does not care, and normally management does not either. You're expected to work when sick despite handling food (I had this personally happen several times). I was stuck on the same job (frying) without getting to move up/learn prep for over a year of working there despite my trainer pushing for me to be given more opportunities. No longer get a free employee meal, and I never got my break. I always had to work my full 8 hours without a break, maybe I had a 3 minutes to eat something quickly. This was due to how busy we were and having to run on so few people :) Chipotle used to have values and culture I appreciated. They no longer do.

Pros

Learning and growing to cultivate your own career path into a competent General Manager. The hours are longer than regular but the position is labeled as salary hourly with a minimum of 50 hours per week which guarantees 10 hours if overtime per week.

Cons

The long hours can be tiring and the expectations are less than or equivalent to that of a General Manager and depending who your boss is dependent on what you learn and how you can grow.
