If you are comfortable on roofs and can get quick you can make some good money. You make way more if you work two years because it takes a while to get fast/safe. It's good for the seasonal minded who need to make some good money for 10ish weeks (longer if you do takedown)
That's about the only positive thing to say about this job.
Cons
You get paid piece-mill, so if you're slow you don't get paid much. It is very hard work on the body. Everyone is sore everywhere all season long, and this isn't an exaggeration.
They expect you to work 60+ hrs/week
The money ends up being great-- but you also work insane hours so if you broke it up by hour it might not seem as good. Luckily had good work partners/friends to work with and if you're into physical work it's all super easy and you can cruise through tons of jobs and have some good type two fun if you don't take it seriously which why would you because it's gd decorative holiday lighting.
Cons
Staff has no empathy for workers-- worked during the height of the pandemic and was knowingly exposed to covid by the company then had to pay for several days hotel out of pocket while being pressured by management to return to work instead of isolate... all over gd festive lighting
