Leadership constantly decides to sell new services before really putting any manpower into the existing practices to actually support what is already being sold. This prevents existing practices from being able to respond to proposals in a timely manner, and has the consultants working in these practices stretched so thin that new projects won almost always call for recruiters to hire new consultants. It does not look good to clients when the consultant's first day on the job with Ciber is the first day working on the client's project. Recruiters constantly struggle to support the sales team and are pulled off existing opportunities that they are working for the sales team to go help one of the national accounts, thus leaving account executives with positions needing to be filled that nobody is working.
