Pros

Walking into any business and being able to sell them something is great. The training they give you is awesome Having two days a week to call your prospects is good for organization Name recognition is a good thing and bad thing Car payment Cell phone payment Great director leaders However I think a few bad market managers slip through the cracks and become managers even though they don’t have any leadership experience

Cons

Working with a company that sometimes has bad name recognition Required to go into the office twice a week to make calls when you could be at home making calls. It’s an outside sales role but required to go in the office to make calls Their CRM is terrible. They use Microsoft 365 which is the worst CRM I have ever come across very glitchy and rarely has the correct information There’s way too many people involved in making a sale and implementation. Too many steps to be done with the sale Way too many sales contests which leads to burn out Large company that that pushes you every week, doesn’t matter if you’re $1,500 over your quarter goal They give you a book too read about the companies history and the culture which really feels cultish During training you have to write out takeaways about your day, every day

Pros

The Commission is great. You can make good money in this place.

Cons

While the pay is good, the culture here is not. It is incredibly restrictive. It is very much a “Do what I want you to do, how I want you to do it, and when I want you to do it” management style. They constantly remind you of how much money you can make there which gets annoying after a while. The service team and the sales team are constantly at odds. Not just Cintas, but the industry in general is very sleazy, much like a car dealership. They screw over their smaller customers with enormous year over year price increases. I know a particular salesperson who is having a lot of success their who has no problem lying to his customers, and never answering their calls when the problems come. As long as he keeps the deals coming Cintas does not care. Corporate greed is on full display at Cintas. The Management Development program for college graduates seems like a great opportunity. If you are a young college graduate and you get the opportunity, I would recommend that.
