Pros

The product - Has the potential to be an industry defining tool - On the surface, the product shows well and clearly demonstrates value The Company - Potential to be remote can be great if its for you - Healthcare (and dental) premiums are free if you're single - The industry itself is very interesting if you dive in

Cons

The product - No disrepsect to QA or Dev, but the platform works correctly about 10% of the time - Once you dig even an inch deep, the technical flaws are so disruptive that it is difficult to get any lasting value after the first couple of "play throughs". - Requirments are mostly driven by 1 or 2 customers, which greatly skews the UX in one direction. The Company - Upper to mid management changes are constant and very disruptive. Prepare to constantly have priorities, goals, objectives, overall direction shifted every 4 months. - Career path/growth was non-existent. Ambition was seldom rewarded. - Sub par benefits overall, base pay was about average.

Pros

remote setting compensation R&D Fridays

Cons

This company lied to me and told my team they were dropping the product we were developing. They laid off the entire dev team with only 2 weeks' severance. Right after being laid off, I was lied to by the CTO, who said he would help me find employment, but he did not. I don't recommend this company to anyone. They gave an illusion of security when that was never going to be the case. They kept the product and made good money from it after laying us off with no care or consideration. I was lied to about the possibility of career growth. Instead, my title was changed against my will to full-stack without any discussion of compensation changes.
