Pros

Remote Good training stipend People care about recycling and the mission. PMO team is great.

Cons

High workload (well known within the company as an issue), many teams work long hours to meet deadlines Being a company driven by government legislation in many areas also results in it being a high pressure environment. The pay does not account for the stress and pressure. Many departments work in silos, are not willing to collaborate which results in toxicity and politics. Some chief executives are fairly clueless at how to do their jobs.

Dear Former Employee, less than 1 year, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We value candid feedback like this, as it helps us continue to improve as an evolving organization. We’re glad to hear that you found value in the Circular Materials mission, remote work flexibility, training opportunities, and the support within the PMO team. At the same time, we take your concerns seriously. As a new and rapidly growing company, operating in a complex, highly regulated environment, we recognize that the pace and demands can be challenging. We are actively working to address these areas by strengthening resource planning, improving cross-functional collaboration, leadership development and refining processes to reduce silos and increase collaboration across teams. We are equally committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture, and feedback like yours plays an important role in that effort. Pros

CM has been a great experience, starting from the recruiting process which was made smooth by their amazing recruiter, all the way to now. I really appreciate how responsive and smooth recruiting was especially with how many companies ghost candidates nowadays or take forever to reply. The onboarding was very smooth and they even scheduled 1 on 1s with all the senior managers, the fact that they all mad time to talk to me and offer advice says a lot about the work culture, which for me is the most important factor. Not to mention it is a fully remote company. They also try very hard to make time to connect with people and make it intentional since we're not in a physical office.

Cons

The only con I can think of is that it is fully remote, so if that isn't for you it might be hard. In my case, that is one of the reasons I love it ,and they do activities and meet ups in person as well as have an office but not a lot of people go there from what I've perceived.

Pros

Average market salary and stable benefits package. Two summer days off during the year. Good opportunity to gain exposure to high-volume operations and complex processes. Some colleagues are collaborative

Cons

High workload combined with frequent shifting priorities and unclear expectations. Processes and workflows lack standardization, which can create inefficiencies and confusion across teams. Management style can feel overly controlling, with limited autonomy for employees. Limited opportunities for coaching, continuous learning, or long-term career growth. Feedback from operational and mid-level employees does not always appear to be incorporated into decision-making. Workplace culture may feel inconsistent depending on department and leadership style. Urgent requests and last-minute tasks are common, which can affect work-life balance and planning. Although positioned as remote, there has been an increasing expectation for office attendance over time, particularly for newer employees. Resistance to change and slow process improvement can make innovation challenging.
