Pros
Uniformed Furnished. Training. Pay rate. Vacation. Sick time.
Cons
Uniforms go missing, training is subpar(don’t even ask about defensive tactics), sick time is good, but you use it and they get upset and don’t believe you. About defensive tactics... it won’t help you in real life, heck it’s not even a good workout! We used to do physical tests that kept us in shape, now I can guarantee that most people can’t even run a mile. Our defensive tactics is( jumping jacks, running in circles around gym, yelling karate noises and kicking a pad with techniques that would make you lose in any type of lawsuit as they are not protocols. Management doesn’t care about you or your off time. You got called at while you slept or when you’re out of your home and can’t make it to mandatory OT? How dare you! You should be home waiting for this job to call you and be ready to work at ALL TIMES. Somebody calls off sick or has an emergency and all regular officers have worked OT and none of the managers have, well sucks for you! Because no manager will step up and get it so you will be voluntold to do it. This place has lots of problems that could be solved if competent people were given management roles. There is a reason this high paying job has low morales and people are always leaving. Yet everybody is too stubborn to change and improve. Sad that the people who own this company are not more hands on and ask what’s wrong with this company because they are actually nice people. All in all, this job is just to cover your expenses, don’t expect anything, don’t expect to become management unless you want to sell your soul and stab people in the back and become a favorite. Go look elsewhere and be happy. Don’t buy into that you won’t find any job that pays this much because I can list 3 other companies that do. You will be written up over anything, and you will be asked to resign for anything because they know they can just hire anybody else and sell them the idea that this is the best place to work! If that doesn’t convince you, just look at how the break room is. I believe even McDonald’s has a nicer break room than here.
