Pros

Working with at risk students in urban schools, improving the community, meeting people from all over the United States, working in a team setting, helps build professionalism, education award

Cons

We work very long hours with very little pay. Also, it is hard to see all the progress you are making with students because the program is only a one year commitment

Pros

You do very meaningful work and the staff truly care about you and what you are doing.

Cons

School placements can be quite far from where you live, and the days are long (7:30 am - 5 pm). Often is exhausting, but you stay for the kids.
