Pros

- Scheduling is a complex problem. No shortage of interesting challenges. - Scheduling with human-in-the-loop is even more interesting: designing software for contractors for customers. - Solid operating principles that inform how the company moves; feels like we're going in the right direction. - Very thoughtful leadership.

Cons

- Little-to-no public-facing "app". Tricky to tease out the effect of different features and improvements on customer experience. - Not much individual direction in a small team - have to have a lot of initiative. Need to be pretty good at strategy, design, implementation, and communication with stakeholders to roll out things. - Leadership still learning how to manage a team. - It's a startup. Plenty of uncertainty.

Pros

Working remotely comes with many challenges. From finding a company to work with that pays and treats you well to the lack of reasonable pay. Clara affords the opportunity to be a part of a growing community and make a reasonable living while working from home. I've had the opportunity to be part of Clara's tremendous growth and continue to love what I do. The work is not for everyone and requires a great deal of attention to detail and ability to assess protocol quickly and accurately. It's perfect for someone who can't stand too much monotonous work. That said, Clara provides access to a community of experienced contractors, a knowledge base, and near real time help from support. The engineers have done an amazing job creating a platform that gives us every opportunity to succeed and create an amazing customer experience. Overall, I love working with Clara and hope to continue being part of their tremendous growth.

Cons

While the knowledge base is an ever-evolving, work in progress, it needs an overhaul. It can be confusing and hard to navigate. This is especially true for new contractors. The pay can vary depending on the complexity of each job. This can be frustrating when it feels you aren't being paid enough for how much time/effort was put in.
