Pros
1. Company culture: employee recognition, off-sites, happy hours, weekly team lunches, snacks, and the 360 degree view of SF although that is changing soon as we are moving to the 4th floor. 2. Very knowledgable people on both the tech side and the business side 3. Several doctors working on the Business side so, can always get free medical advice
Cons
1. Senior management: Both of the co-founders talk a big talk. The CEO seems to hire people he knows/likes without regard to fit and company strategy. This has caused problems and situations where you have medical doctors doing sales for example. Company direction and organizational structure change quickly. As such, many decisions by senior management seem both unthoughtful and unfair. 2. Lots of former consultants from McKinsey or BCG who seem to have a very uniform approach to projects, whereby they confuse being busy with strategic thinking on how to get deals signed. 3. The company is still rather early stage and so, there is much of 'doing many things to see what sticks in the market'. This at times can be taxing. It is also not easy to have an elevator pitch on what the company does because we have our hands in too many pockets.
