Pros

I was at Clark Construction Group for over 6 years. Clark is top notch and you wlll gain a well rounded construction experience. I made many life long friends with Clark. I also got to work on very notable and important projects. I had excellent leadership in my first 5 years and as they say thrown in to sink or swim. This made me a better Project Manager and leader in the industry. I have great respect for this company.

Cons

The organization lacks flexibility due to its size. I believe the West Coast has grown so substantially that they should split from the East Coast. The corporate structure doesnt allow this, however I believe this would be best for the organization. Compensation is below industry standards on the West Coast and is based on East Coast cost of living adjustment. Work life balance is always a struggle, but I believe this company needs to encourage people to leave when they are done with work and not convey a perception of being busy when they arent.

-Interesting projects -Exposure within the industry

Cons

-Almost every review I’ve seen everyone says over worked. They say it’s the industry but Clark is known in the construction world for that. Working 12 hours in the field in normal and expected. - they favor certain people and make them little mentees under long term employees. Those people are then given a gold star. -Departments who you think would care about their people ( HR and Communications do not) -become so woke yet don’t actually react -Make the new vacation policy look like a benefit but it’s actually less time and keeps them from having to pay out if you leave - take pride in “safety” but expect you to drive to work in a snowstorm because they cleared the parking lot. The amount of people that were amazed at that email is insane.
