Pros

Solid company, solid training. In 2001 I started at the very bottom, as an apprentice, with zero experience (never even picked up a hammer) and worked my way up to be a team leader in the space of 2 years. I then made Senior team leader the following year. CEO is a top guy. He gave me a chance and believed in me as i had no experience with electrics before Clarkson Evans. I moved to Cheltenham from Stoke and put all my eggs in one basket with this company and it paid off: I stayed there for 9 years and made a lot of money. Roughly 45-50K per year once qualified. The best thing about being a team leader is the responsibility they give you. You run a team, you are the boss, you have several building sites that you manage. And if you do your job correctly you can not only crush fixes but you can finish early too, and have great comradery with your team that you manage.

Cons

Being an apprentice can be very tough and not all who try make it. You have to be determined/bloody minded to make it. Long hours are expected as an apprentice (and a team leader) and you basically do as your team lead requests, this includes working on the weekend too. It's physical work so expect to be on your feet all day everyday wiring houses.

Pros

Work van and fuel card

Cons

Long hours , terrible pay expected to get fixes done in a day which is ridiculous and the standard of work is appalling. Management are terrible and have a get it done attitude. My advice work for another firm with standards and better quality work that pays better
