Pros

There are pros and cons to every company. For FBR, one big pro is flexibility. You can be part time or full time. If you are full time, you have the OPTION for benefits. You are not penalized if you do not take them. We get vacation, personal/sick time and paid holidays for full time staff. I have had more than one position with this company. They give you opportunities to advance in multiple fields. That's nice about this company. You don't have to continue to do the same thing if you are unhappy. They have multiple areas for all education levels. T hey expect you to do a lot of things. While in the field, you need to write a note. This is not FBR's rule, this is the insurance company's rule. If it isn't written how the insurance company wants it, they won't pay. If they don't pay, the employee's can't get raises. It's a loop that is hard to get out of. Employee's feel they need to be paid more, but we can't until we do our job.

Cons

There are pros and cons to every company. I have worked for different companies and they have the same issues that FBR does. Playing favorites, feeling like you're not getting paid enough for the salary, feeling like they don't appreciate you, all of these things happen with any company. It depends on how you handle it. If you don't say anything to management and continue to be unhappy, nothing is going to get done. Sometimes, when you do voice your concerns, they say things that you want to hear, but don't do anything about it. It is frustrating. Pay is always a factor in the cons section. If someone says "do you want a raise?" you're not going to turn it down. I feel that I work harder than anyone but I still get the same percentage raise. I have seen people flat out refuse to do their job, and yet, nothing is done. That person is still here and in the same position. There have been layoffs without warnings. I have known people who came to work and had to turn around because their position was gone. I know this is not coming from the CEO, this is coming from CIS (the company that owns FBR). They are money hungry and let's be real, you're in the wrong field for that! This is the human services field...NO MONEY HERE! For a person who has been here for more than 5 years, I feel like I am not appreciated as much as I should be. For the most part I am happy and unhappy here. I like the people I work with but I don't like my job. If a better position doesn't come along soon, I will have to look for a new job.

Pros

Pros-very relaxed with things like work hours. Remote employees can have your kids home with you as long as you get your work done.

Cons

Unrealistic productivity expectations, too many leadership changes, too many team meetings that are a waste of time.
