Pros
When I first started this job, it was wonderful--the pay and benefits were great, the workplace culture was comfortable, and the work itself was very meaningful. I enjoyed the regular email/blog posts from the CEO (Mike Fidgeon) as he always reiterated company values and the value of Pathways' work in the community. Unfortunately, these values aren't shown in the work at the state and regional levels. It seemed that almost anyone would be hired to be a program or state director and the workplace culture became toxic and the work itself transformed into meaningless paperwork without any clear goals or a purpose in the community. It was sad to see such a great concept devolve into another empty corporate scheme to trick money out of clients like Kaiser.
Cons
This is the only company that I know of that had solid values and ethics. Sadly, the people who created these values are long gone and there is nothing left here but corporate money-grabbers. The pay and benefits are not the same as before and most positions are part time now (to save money to pay the inept program and state directors).
