Pros
*A few key people made the job bearable.
*The health coverage was THE BEST I have ever had... Wish my current employer would offer us that coverage and plan...
Cons
*Poor work/life balance - basically force you to work massive amounts of overtime, then they complain about why your staying so late to do the job your there to do...
*No raises - the ONLY way you get more money is if you have a job offer with someone else, and they wont even match what the other company is willing to pay. Management are the only ones who get annual raises.
*Chastized you for cleaning your PPE before starting work - basically scream at you like a 3 year old for cleaning your respirator thats strapped to your face more than 10 hours a day. You know, one of the key pieces of gear to saving your life on this job...
*Unsafe work acts and conditions - told to always have 2 people in your area at all times, yet constantly being left alone in dangerous work conditions: extreme high heat while in PPE (tyvek suit, respirator, etc...) with nobody else around and nearly having a heat stroke, on top of rail cars with NO harness/fall protection, around roll-off trucks and containers in excess of 90,000 lbs while dumping, around dangerous toxic materials while processing for disposal like extreme high levels of lead, chromium, arsenic and asbestos...
