Pros

I got to go to employee appreciation my second week working here and I got to get to know some very kind and amazing people

Cons

This financial institution is only eight years old and are just barely getting IRA customers. The role they hired for had a long description that did not match an IRA Specialist. They claimed they needed somebody with experience in loans, personal accounts business account accounts, decedent accounts, and IRA accounts however, after being hired, not only did this company not have me perform the additional duties in the description they were also NOT forthcoming about how little IRA customers they had and what training would look like. They did not have official training for new employees AND I had very little to no communication with the manager for the whole month I worked there. She sent a brief email saying my training was watching videos and they had me shadow in departments that were not a part of my role. They did also have me shadow the employee temporarily assisting with IRAs who was not trained and was just figuring out all the ins and outs of these retirement accounts by googling her answers. This same person was also tired and overworked and used our training time to jump around to different topics and venting about how tired and stressed she is. The trainer also just didn’t seem to feel like teaching me because her plate was so full so she did most of the IRA transactions on her own, it was not helpful. And unfortunately the amount of IRA transactions were little to none. But for the rest of the four weeks for eight hours a day, five days a week, they left me on my own so I never actually got to handle the IRA accounts to show my expertise. I had some concerns so I told the manager after she got back from her week vacation. She reassured me she would help and apologized for being so absent these past THREE weeks. The next day I was invited to a meeting. The VP and manager were there with the HR employee and they immediately fired me. In the exit meeting they didn’t check to make sure it wasn’t a misunderstanding or ask clarifying questions. Nope. They just fired me. The explanation they gave me for firing me made little to no sense and it was supposedly based off my lack of knowledge despite my main complaint to the manger the day before of not having IRA accounts to work with and the lack of training on systems. The VP claimed I told the manager something completely different, it was like the manager didn’t even listen to what I said then brought it back to the VP and she used it as an excuse to fire me. My short experience with Clean Energy Credit Union has been no official training besides shadowing irrelevant departments, management abandoned me for the 4 weeks leaving me to figure it out myself, very absent in communication, claimed their tenured employee would guide me on their IRA software and policies but actually used that time to rant or vent their feelings then claimed to management I was fully trained after a week, then lastly dumped from the company for lack of knowledge for the accounts I never got a chance to help manage or train on. I left a legit bank to work for an institution that preaches about doing good for others and then demonstrated a lot of poor behavior. Yes. This company has a lot of gaps and holes in their knowledge and operations and I would be concerned to work or bank here.

Pros

Clean Energy Credit Union is making a difference in the fight to address climate change. We support individuals and families throughout the United State in their efforts to make their home green. That feels great at the end of the day. The employees and staff at Clean Energy are great people to work with. We have the same goal, to leave the world a better place. This common goal makes it rewarding to work here. There is a work from home/office hybrid model that is wonderful.

Cons

Clean Energy is a small credit union that has been growing leaps and bounds. Due to this growth and the demand there just never seems to be enough time in the day to get done what we hope to get done. Everyone is expected to do more and we have found this is not a good match for some individuals.

Pros

Benefits are pretty good, especially medical.

Cons

Way too political. They shove their politics down your throat. They also care more about diverse gender rather than good employees.
