Pros
I enjoy coming to work every day. The staff here are kind, compassionate, supportive, and helpful. They jump in and help one another as the need arises. Total teamwork!
We do important work here: We serve children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral needs, to help them develop into contributing members of society. We also work with the youths' families, county workers and others. It's truly a calling.
This is a positive environment where, despite the challenging work, people smile, say "good morning," and have an appropriate sense of humor. We work hard, and we also know how to laugh and have fun. Across every area of service here, the staff are kind and welcoming. I really enjoy this team! The residential therapists are knowledgeable, skillful, and committed to their work.
This is truly the most flexible organization I have ever worked for (and that's saying something!). There are stringent requirements that we cannot flex (e.g., licensing, credentialing, etc.), but where we can flex, we do, to accommodate the fact, LIFE HAPPENS.
Cons
I cannot say anything negative about CCH. I have had a lot of jobs for many years, and this place is in the top 10%. The work can be difficult, because it's the nature of the beast--especially in residential. And the field of behavioral health can feel thankless at times. But this is truly a great place to work.
