Pros
The people you work with every day are great. 90% of them are smart and easy to work with. There is a cool kitchen and lounge area. The company is also located in Liberty Village which is a really great location and easily accessible. That's sadly as positive as I can get.
Cons
Team leaders (excluding the PHP team lead) are not leaders, just by title they are. Leadership is never involved on projects until it is too late like when a project starts tanking. Structure of the company is a bit of a mess, there is somewhere around 25% of the company that is part of management which doesn't make sense for the size it is at. There are way too many people doing junk roles for the company. There is way too much politics and talk but reverse action. Overall company decisions are basically controlled by the politics of one or two people. If you're good at playing politics and using it to your advantage to advance, then you'll fit right in. Turnover is extremely high with many of the best talents leaving and I'm starting to see the reason why. They are super picky about clients and start being super excited then mid-way through the project they already want to drop the client. Probably why the company is extremely reliant on one client for revenue. They also outsource a number of things to cheaper alternatives. The company also hasn't had any reviews or salary raises in the past 2 to 3 years and they keep pushing it back. Also they lie about the services that they offer to try to win clients over such as telling prospective clients we have experience doing something when we don't. They work you hard as well and don't have realistic expectations based on what you have to work with. They aren't very receptive of people who work remotely, they try but become extremely resistant to it after and demand otherwise. Owner(s) are also not involved with the business or running it a lot as they are too busy spreading their time with other ventures. There are so many cons to this company. What is written is only the tip of the iceberg.
