Pros
Extremely friendly and collaborative coworkers. If you need people to trauma bond with, you’ll definitely have that.
Cons
Everything. For a company that boasts of good onboarding and training, there’s no support for staff who want to learn. You will be belittled and put down because management has such a big ego and rather than listen to staff, they’re too busy trying to be right and petty. Salaries are constantly delayed or underpaid. Impromptu meetings all the time, management wants you to complete a task in two hours but is happy to keep you in three hour long meetings. You’ll end up doing tasks that are way outside your JD. There is no structure so imagine your KPIs assessed by someone who doesn’t even know or understand what your study is about. Half the time because your role is so confusing, you find out that half the KPIs may not apply to you but will they change it, heck no. Staff are suspended or fired for the pettiest of reasons jeopardising study timelines and workflows. You’ll meet the most incompetent HR personnel in your life. You’ll beg for your leave days and have to fight to take them because there’s no one to cover for you seeing as the company is so understaffed. You’ll also get unrealistic deadlines and be overloaded with an infinite number of tasks with the expectation that it’ll all be done within an hour. You’ll also be so unappreciated you’ll wonder why you’re here and remember, the reward for good work is complaints and more work. All in all, save yourself the trouble and don’t apply.
