Pros
It’s exciting to be part of such an inspiring project that pushes for the highest levels of quality and a great feeling knowing that my own skills are contributing to making something incredible. Working alongside a team of highly talented individuals is everything! Great teamwork vibe that comes from being in the studio together. The studio is really cool, like being in the game and we have some amazing perks e.g. barista/coffee bar, games room with pool, arcade games, shuffleboard etc, tasty treats. It’s also in a great part of Manchester with lots of places to eat around. Lots of opportunities for growth. Crunch is not a thing when you compare us to the industry. Yes, we have periods of overtime on the run up to a release but there isn’t a crunch culture and management are fair with the policy. Flexibility in working hours is great for work life balance.
Cons
Studio location is great but depending on when you leave, the traffic around the office can be a pain. Limited remote work options – we do have time permitted to work from home each week and it suits me well being in the office but some people I work with would prefer more home working time.
